This unit I highly recommend for several reasons. First, it is rated for 120 Volts at 25 Amps, which is important as these devices are usually kept in place, under load, once installed.

Second, once set up the interface between physical device and the app is excellent.

The only issues are as follows:

(1) Setup instructions for WiFi and Bluetooth need to be more specific, clear.

(2) When we set the electrical rates depending on the time of day, we also need to be able to pre-set for time periods of the year.

Electrical rates shift between Winter Rates (Oct - April) and Summer Rates (May - Sept).

With the current setup, we have to manually change daily/hourly time rates twice a year.

Doing this for multiple devices is burdensome and time consuming.

Overall, this item is a winner.

I have been on the hunt for a simple plug-and-play smart device that would provide comprehensive data on power usage for my entire PC system and this device fit the bill! I am a power user and rely on my computer heavily for work - it has a ton of peripherals and multiple monitors hooked up to it, and I also leave it powered on almost 24/7 because I need to be able to access it remotely from my other devices.

This Smart Meter is currently installed on my home UPS backup system which powers my entire computer setup. For the purpose of tracking home office expenses, this device works extremely well for documenting what I spend on electricity every month! I have another smart plug with energy monitoring built-in, but the data and interface included for tracking is very basic. This smart plug is accessible through the SmartLife app and keeps a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and accumulated total usage of wattage and cost per kW, along with the option to cut power to the plug based on schedule or power consumption. I also like that if you don't have your phone app handy, you can also reference the bright digital display that's located on the the plug itself! My only wish is that this plug would "remember" the power state of my devices after a power outage. Based on my experience, I've had to manually turn on my computer system again after losing power, though that's not a big deal. I like this device so much that I may eventually purchase a second unit for other devices in my home!

As electricity rate is going sky high, monitoring power usage of appliances and devices become important for better power usage planning. While I had an old power usage monitor for years, it has a very small none backlit display that is very hard to read not to mention there is no way to use phone app to monitor.

This power monitor device has what I needed, a much larger color display that is very easy to read even in the dark. It can display the current voltage, current and wattage usage at glance. While the unit is sizable, the three prong plug is positioned at lower back of the unit. When plug in at upper socket of the standard outlet, it will not block the lower socket.

The app for this device is SmartLife or Tuya which are really the same app. While it does require registration, it is easy to setup. Once set up, it offers more control of the device. The most important ones are the voltage and current protection functions that can shut down the power when abnormality or overload occurs on voltage or current. To me, this function alone is worth the cost of the unit. In addition, one can also easily enter the utility rate in the app and it will calculate the actual cost of the usage.

Overall, an excellent power usage monitor.

I adore how,m whoever made this, just threw everything and the kitchen sink into the app and functionality for it. There are so many options for visibility and insight into what you're running and how it's being run. Logging works well too, and I just love that it happens to do every possible measurement I try to throw at this thing.
